In Casino Royale, Daniel Craig plays famous MI6 British agent James Bond, who has just earned his elite Double-O status and is licensed to kill. Watch how he evolves from being just an assassin spy into the classically suave "Bond, James Bond". The film opens with an intense chase scene that involves just the amazing dynamics of the human body. No submarine cars, no speedboats with missiles, not even a laser-equipped watch, which is what sets this film apart from its predecessors. In the course of the movie's plot, Bond attempts to foil the plans of a terrorist financier at a high-stakes poker game at Casino Royale in Montenegro. Calling upon masterful poker strategy and a fair bit of luck, the action dances between the poker tables and fierce gun battles. Departing greatly from the usual Bond movie in style and delivery, Casino Royale manages to humanize the smooth secret agent that we're used to, while still thrilling audiences with its unique blend of intrigue, seduction and machismo.

Whether playing in online poker rooms or in real casino games at the poker tables, poker will test your skills and strategic abilities. No matter which of the poker variations you play, it's crucial that you understand the rules for poker games and what hand beats what in poker. In a variation most common in live online poker, Texas Holdem, players are dealt two cards face-down (hole or pocket cards), followed by a round of betting using poker chips. Three cards are simultaneously turned ("flop") with another round of betting. Two additional cards are turned one at a time (Turn card, then River card), with one betting round after each. These are community cards, and may be used in any winning combination with other cards. One may even use no personal cards to form a hand (play the board). The game may be played with just one blind or more blinds, an ante, or combination of both blinds and antes. A dealer button indicates where cards are dealt from in online poker gambling. After betting concludes, the showdown occurs. Remaining players compare their hands comprising any five-card combinations from their 2 pocket cards and the 5 common cards. The player with the highest ranking hand takes the pot. Two or more players will sometimes have hands of equal rank or the winning hand uses all 5 common cards, and the pot will be shared amongst them. Calculations are all automatically done, so don't worry about online poker cheats.

The World Series of Poker 2008 was held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is a series of poker tournaments, which began on the 30th of May, 2008. The World Series of Poker has been facilitated by Harrah's Entertainment since 2004, when the company bought the annual event from the Binion family. In this year's event, Nikolay Evdakov got ahead of all the other players by having a record of ten money finishes in a single World Series. He broke the record of eight that Phil Hellmuth, Michael Binger, Chad Brown, and Humberto Brenes held. However, it was Erick Lindgren who won the Player of the Year Award. He won a bracelet and was able to make it to three final tables. Another notable player in the said event was Scotty Nguyen, who became the first player to bag both the Main Event and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E World Championship bracelets.
